The Phenomenal Student: Attendance

Increasing Student Attendance will result in better performance.

It goes without saying that attending school is important for a scholar’s development. Research suggest that low attendance adversely effects a child’s trajectory. On the flip side, good attendance has positive effects on student performance.

So, it makes sense that it’s incorporated into The Phenomenal Student metric.

I kept the rating simple. If a child misses a certain amount of days, they get the appropriate rating. (For example, kids who miss 3-4 days get a 9 rating.)
